Description
Contest: HUGO Create Round 9
Theme: Summer Time
Created primarily in Flash with text and cologne label added in Photoshop
Resources used: Beach scene heavily referenced from a photograph taken by a friend
Perfume bottle referenced from the resources provided by HUGO
Label provided by HUGO
After missing out on the elements theme a few rounds back, I decided to try my hand again at an entry for the current round of the HUGO Create contest. In this I combined my more common mandalas with a beach scene that I'd worked on before when helping Robert with a website some friends asked him to do.
I really don't do the full graphics design part of the websites that I assist on (usually just basic graphics work such as vectoring the company's logo, inking/painting design elements that Robert sketches, and data entry), so this was a bit interesting to accomplish, and I probably drove him nuts asking for opinions and advice along the way.
Any critiques are more than welcome.
The contest also has a rating/voting portion. So if you have the time head over the their gallery for the current round and rate a few of the entries. [link]
The mandala is available for viewing in my scraps. [link]

Cool, I like the transparency of the beach-ball, I thought the bottle wa sinsid eit at first (which also would have looked pretty good )
